Closed for Mother’s Day

Well, it appears I forgot to write up a post for last weekend.  Both Saturday and Sunday were filled with excitement, but today’s post has a different purpose.

The field will be closed this upcoming Sunday for Mother’s Day.  As many of you know, my wife and I welcomed our first child this past February, so this will be our first Mother’s Day.

I would imagine that most of you plan on spending the day with your own family, as well.  However, if you would like to get together and play, or if you want to throw your mom a party for Mother’s Day on a different day than Sunday, just give me a call and we’ll work out a different day.

April 22, 2012  - paintball

I don’t need to tell all the people that showed up this last weekend what a great turnout we had, but for those of you who couldn’t make it…  Wow!  

Hopefully, this next weekend will be the same.  We have a large group coming out Saturday (reserved the field), and I’ve had quite a few calls already about plans for coming out on Sunday (April 29th).

Many callers have mentioned only wanting to come out when we know there is going to be a large group planning on bring out there.  That’s understandable.  Not everyone enjoys playing paintball with their shadow.  HOWEVER, it really goes without saying the problem we’ve seen with this concern:  If everyone is at home waiting for everyone else to show up before they do, the only place everyone is is at home.  LOL!  Just something to think about…

Back to this prior weekend:

“Traitor,” a new woods ball scenario, turned out to be a great hit with everyone.  

I think we’ve all had fun with the riot gear these last couple of weekends.  Although, apparently, we have to stick with the inanimate objects made for riot shields…  No picking up small children.  (No worries, all you mommies reading this, it’s kind of an inside joke between some of the players.)

Again, the turn out was great.  Even with two groups needing to reschedule, we had over twenty people out the field.  

Just a note for the future:

I will be ordering paint soon.  So, if you plan on bringing a very large group out this Sunday, let me know (785.259.2168).  I’ll make sure to have the extra paint get here before Sunday, if I need it to.  Likewise, if you need any paintball gear, let me know.  I plan on putting an order in again soon.

Grand Opening! (Well… sort of.)

We will be officially open for business again on April 1st, 2012.  I say “officially,” because we’ve enjoyed many field reservations throughout the winter, and we hope all of you will continue to make reservations throughout the summer. 

Our operating hours are every Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  If that day does not work for you, or you’d like to enjoy the field with only a certain group of people, you are still able to reserve the field this summer.  Just make sure you give me a few days in advance, so we can make sure we’re available and will be able to gather enough refs (if necessary).

Alright.  Well, that’s it.  We hope to see EVERYONE there on Sunday! 

By the way, we’re beginning to see people coming to check out the field.  (Yay!)  If you’d like to do so, as well, contact Austin (785.259.2168).  That way we know you’re not up to no good.  :)

Oh my gosh! Finally!

Well, well, well…  The time has finally arrived:  Little Brittany Rose graced us with her adorable presence, spring has finally sprung (yes, I actually just said that), and it is time for the paintball field to open!!!

This year, we hope to finally get the word out that we are here.  So, hopefully, you should start to see evidence of our existence beginning to pop up here and there around town. 

With that in mind, we would love to hear your ideas of fun little sayings to put on the back of shirts for the field.  We have a few in mind, but not all are going to be kid friendly.  (I mean, come on… with “paintballs” as one of the words to play with, it’s all pretty much anything goes.)  If you have an idea for a short saying to pop on the back of a shirt, either send me a message through the site or just post it as a comment below.
